Craving the Seamstress

Just as the seamstress sews together different pieces of cloth, so does craving sew together one life to another. I think of this Buddhist notion as a metaphor for my development as a person, as an artist. My concerns have changed over the years, I am no longer the same person. I am still drawn to the themes of identity, mortality, eroticism, death, loss, rebirth, but I don't believe I am trying to resolve these issues. I am simply attempting to look at these subjects and allow them to be linked, "sewn" to a former self.
